On August 7th, 1922, the Gila County Board of Supervisors founded Tri-City Fire District, it was founded to provide fire protection for the citizens who worked in the copper mines within the newly formed fire district. Which at that time consisted of Midland City, Claypool, and the lower Miami area and it originally operated as a volunteer department.
After 100 years of dedicated service to the community Tri-City Fire District has grown its service area to 800 sq miles and to include, five ambulances, four fire engines, two tenders, a wildland division and a well-organized department meeting ISO level certification and exceptional EMS and Fire service.
The Tri-City Fire District provides a cost
effective and community-oriented district that delivers prompt,
professional, and superior service to the communities within the
District during their time of need
